Reach security buyers at the point where they are narrowing a shortlist.

Security Ops Wire is read by people mid-evaluation. They arrive on a market map, a category comparison, or a platform roundup because they are trying to work out which four vendors belong in a bake-off and which six do not.

That is a narrow audience and a valuable one. If your product competes in one of our ten coverage areas, there is a placement worth discussing.

Who is on the page

  • Security engineers and architects scoping tooling for a control they have been told to close
  • SOC and detection leads comparing SIEM, XDR, and AI triage platforms against analyst workload
  • CISOs and security directors working through consolidation, renewal, and budget defence
  • Cloud, platform, and AppSec engineers who own security controls without owning the security title
  • Product marketing and competitive intelligence teams at security vendors watching how their category is described

Traffic skews toward long-tail comparison and category queries rather than breaking news. Readers arrive with intent and leave with a shortlist.

Ways to work with us

Category sponsorship. Your brand attached to a coverage area, market maps, comparisons, and roundups within a defined category over a defined period.

Sponsored articles. A commissioned piece on a topic relevant to our readers, written to our standards, labelled as sponsored at the top of the page and in the byline area.

Brand placement in existing coverage. Inclusion or expanded treatment within published roundups, comparisons, and market maps, where the product genuinely belongs in that category. Placement never changes a verdict elsewhere on the site.

Product deep dives. A long-form breakdown of architecture, deployment model, pricing structure, and fit; the kind of page a buyer sends to their team.

Newsletter placement. Our newsletter is in build. Early partners can reserve inventory ahead of launch.

Display placements. Banner and in-article units on high-intent category pages.

Custom. Market research, category briefings, co-produced reports. Tell us the outcome you need and we will tell you whether we can build it.

What pricing depends on

We do not publish a rate card, because a fixed number would be wrong in most directions. What you pay depends on:

  • the page and its position in the buying journey
  • placement type and prominence
  • whether it is a new commissioned asset or inclusion in an existing one
  • scope and duration
  • category fit and how contested that category currently is

Ask for the media kit and we will price against your actual brief rather than a tier you do not fit.

Where we draw the line

  • Editorial verdicts are not for sale. A commercial relationship does not move a ranking, change a recommendation, or remove a competitor from a comparison.
  • Every commercial placement is labelled. No unmarked sponsored content, no paid links passing as editorial citations.
  • We do not publish claims we cannot trace to documentation, pricing pages, published benchmarks, or an on-record source.
  • We keep the number of commercial partners in any one category deliberately small. If a category is already committed, we will tell you rather than stack it.
  • We turn down products that do not fit this audience, and products whose marketing claims we cannot stand behind.

Audience numbers

Traffic, category-level breakdowns, referring-query data, and engagement figures go out in the media kit. Ask and we will send the current set rather than a screenshot from last quarter.
